Winning work: requests, browsing, and applications

Once you're verified, work reaches you two ways:

  1. Direct requests — clients find your profile and request a quote. These land as new job threads; respond quickly with a clear quote to win the job.
  2. Browse jobs — clients post jobs to the board. Browse postings in your trade and area and apply with a full itemized quote (line items, taxes, optional upfront fee). The client compares quotes side by side and accepts one — so a clear, well-priced quote wins the job outright. Track everything you've applied to under My applications.

Can't price a job without seeing it? On either path, toggle Site visit first instead of quoting blind. Add a single visit fee (or leave it at $0 for a free visit) — the client agrees with one tap, you do the visit, and the fee is pre-filled into your real quote, which you can keep to charge on top or delete to waive.

Need answers before you can price it? On the job board you can also apply with Chat first — your opening message starts a conversation on the post, and you send your full quote from your application when you're ready (Send quote). If the client picks you, the conversation carries over into the job chat, so nothing gets repeated.

Browsing with the Any trade filter and spot a job outside your trade? Use the share icon on the card (or Refer this job on the post) to send it to a verified tradesperson in that trade — they're notified and can apply directly.

A complete, verified profile with a strong portfolio and good reviews wins more work — clients can see your reputation at a glance.
