How the verification badges work

Badges on a tradesperson's profile tell you, at a glance, what's been checked:

• ID verified — we've confirmed their government photo ID.
• Certified — their trade certification / licence is on file.
• Insured — proof of liability insurance is on file.
• WSIB / workers' comp — coverage is on file where their trade and province require it.

Each badge is granted only after our team reviews the actual document — there are no self-serve shortcuts. That's the whole point of Blue Seal: when you see a badge, a real person checked the paperwork behind it.
